Indigenous communities in Peru are currently facing severe pressures regarding the fate of their ancestral lands, the survival of traditional practices, and their place in Peruvian society. Our Foundation endeavors to support endangered Q’ero tribal communities in the state of Cusco, Peru, by assisting them in creating sustainability and strengthening their self-determination. Priority is given to projects that have potential for sustainability and require shared leadership and cooperation.

This site has hosted trainings, meetings, and health services. HWF anticipates the construction of a two-story building for delivery of health services, conducting workshops, and hosting meetings of indigenous people in the region.
